Your device will stop printing whenever a paper jam occurs and the Continue (1) and Paper Jam (2) lights on the operator panel will come on. Follow the instruction mentioned-below:
Firstly, it is recommended to check and clear the entire path, whenever your device faces this problem:
- Firstly, remove the tray if you are feeding paper from the tray. See if there is any stuck or jammed sheet you come across.
- Remove the print cartridge assembly after opening the front cover.
Note: For an extended duration, do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light, especially sunlight.
- If you find any sheet jammed in the area behind the print cartridge assembly remove it as soon as possible.
- Check the flap by lifting at the top of the device and if you find any jammed sheet beneath flap remove it also.
- Check for the rear exit door or cover of the printer and if you find any jammed page here remove it.
- Reinstall the print cartridge assembly after confirming the clearance of entire path. Close all the printer cover/doors. If you have removed tray reinstall it.
- To resume printing press the Continue button.
NOTE: The printer must reprint the page because of which paper jam occurred.
- Press the Continue button twice quickly while the Continue and Paper Jam lights are on if the sheet continues to jam. This will result to display the secondary error page jam light sequence by operator panel. The other error code will tell you where the printer thinks the problem has occurred.
